Aren’t you thankful to live under grace? At one time, God’s people lived under His law. And none of them could keep it. But when Jesus came, He kept the law for us, fulfilling it on our behalf. In that way, He succeeded in breaking its hold over us. Scripture says He “canceled the charge of our legal indebtedness, which stood against us and condemned us” (Col. 2:14 NIV). When you were joined to Him by faith, that freedom became yours. Being under grace means keeping an even higher standard: the law of Christ. But God gave you a new heart that can do it with joy, and He also gave His Spirit—a Helper who’s with you every moment. Call on Him daily. As you walk in His grace, you’ll amazed by all He can do.
