A Word From Dr. Stanley

August 2020

Whether you had a sound Christian upbringing, a childhood of harsh challenges, or something in between, when you trusted in Jesus, you became the child of a perfect Father. God wants us to “be imitators of [Him], as beloved children” (Eph. 5:1). That might sound impossible, but Jesus—the only begotten Son and perfect image of the heavenly Father—lives in each believer and empowers us to walk as cherished children of the King.

I hope your devotional time sheds light on what Christ meant by “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God” (Matt. 5:9). Let this be a month of peace in your heart—just as it is in your Father’s house.
