In Buea, Cameroon—a city famous for its hospitality—Christians are turning their focus to new disciples entering the kingdom of God. They are in the church and in the street, in the government and in the home, sharing their passion for Christ. Engaging All Aspects of Society for the Kingdom
In addition to being a mathematics professor at the University of Mary Washington in Virginia, Julius Esunge is the founder of Hope Outreach International Ministries, or HOIM, an evangelistic organization in Cameroon. Here he stands outside his alma mater, The University of Buea.
When he’s back in Buea, Esunge speaks to couples gathered at Buea City Hall for civil marriage ceremonies. He has found favor with the mayor, so Esunge is permitted to preach the gospel and hand out In Touch teaching materials to the couples.

Esunge stands atop the partially completed Hope Academy, which he says will be “an ultra-modern academic complex,” as well as “an exceptional bilingual nursery and primary school dedicated to training lifelong champions [for Christ].”
