Life Principles Training
We provide discipleship and leadership training for ministry leaders worldwide. Our goal is to encourage, equip, and edify local teachers to grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ.
Quick Guide
Training People to Lead Their Communities
At our Life Principles Training, participants, many of whom have had no solid formal training, learn to walk with Jesus and listen to God—the strategy that allowed Christ’s original disciples to reach the world.
This has proven to be both powerful and effective for the congregations and communities where these ministry leaders serve.
We also pray together for the Lord to raise up local teachers who are willing to join us and train their fellow pastors—multiplying the effects of our efforts. We thank God that the multiplication implications He has already shown us are immense and beyond imagination.
Ministry Goals
- We pray every ministry leader completes the training equipped to:
- Use the principles to strengthen your personal walk with the Lord.
- Use the principles as a resource for the ministry God has called them to.
- Develop an inward goal of personal spiritual growth.
- Develop an outward goal to share them with others.
- We pray every ministry leader can distinguish the difference between Principles and Preferences:
- Principle: A fixed or predetermined mode of conduct or a moral rule based on the Word of God.
- Preference: A choice based on likes and dislikes or whatever seems best in the moment.
Life Principles Foundation
The 30 Life Principles were developed over 50 years of ministry by Dr. Charles Stanley from the Word of God. They work individually and collectively to bridge life’s issues back to God Himself. As Dr. Stanley says, “It is the Word of God and the work of God that changes people’s lives.”
Training Overview
- Introduction
- Ministry Goals
- Training to Train
- Session 1Intimacy with God
- This is the most important principle for ministry leaders. God’s ministry flows from our intimate relationship with Him.
- Anchor Principle: Number 1—“Our intimacy with God, His highest priority for our lives, determines the impact of our lives.”
- Session 2Prayer
- Prayer is the main way we strengthen and deepen our intimate relationship with God.
- Anchor Principle: Number 13—“Listening to God is essential to walking with God.”
- Session 3Trust and Obedience
- Trust and obedience work hand in hand as we exercise what God leads us to do in our relationship with Him.
- Anchor Principle: Number 2—“Obey God and leave all the consequences to Him.”
- Session 4Divine Provision
- God's strength is greater than our own and it is necessary for us to embrace it if our desire is to follow Him in obedience.
- Anchor Principle: Number 24—“To live the Christian life is to allow Jesus to live His life in and through us.”
- Session 5God's Work
- How does God carry out His purposes in the world? We need to understand His ways if desire to join Him in that work.
- Anchor Principle: Number 28—“No Christian has ever been called to “go it alone” in his or her walk of faith.”
- Session 6Adversity
- Everyone faces adversity, but our response to adversity can either deepen our relationship with God or hinder it.
- Anchor Principle: Number 26—“Adversity is a bridge to a deeper relationship with God.”

Connecting to the Great Commission
Just like the 30 Life Principles should be considered individually and collectively, these six sessions should be considered individually and collectively as well. They are designed to help someone connect with the Word of God from different angles based on life's issues. The outcome of all this is to equip the Body of Christ to carry out the Great Commission—leading people worldwide into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
